Everybody wants to see a miracle at least once in their lifetime. Venice is that miracle. Here you will breathe an atmosphere of magic and seduction.
I can help to introduce you to this city, to understand it and to fall in love with it as I have.
My name is Veronika, I graduated in Foreign Languages in Russia, where I was born. I now work in Venice as a licensed tour guide, in both English and Russian. I’ve lived and worked in the tourist industry in Italy for eighteen years.
I love all aspects of history and art, and am particularly fascinated by symbolism. I also have a special interest in armour.
I’ve loved this city since I was a child and I’d like to share this passion with you. Come with me as, step by step, we uncover the city’s mysteries. We’ll wander through the narrow calles that snake around the colourful old quarters where Venetians live, discover churches with hidden masterpieces by artists such as Titian, Tintoretto and Veronese, explore sumptuous palaces and ancient campos.
Each tour is specially prepared for you according to your interests and wishes.
I want your stay to be unforgettable, so that you’ll want to come back here again and again.
Venice is a city that will surprise you again and again, even if it isn’t your first visit.
Along with visiting the tourist attractions and seeing Venice’s many well-known sights, I advise you to venture into “unknown Venice”: colourful districts where Venetians live, the church of the Frari where you can admire masterpieces by Titian, Bellini and Donatello, and the mysterious Scuola di San Rocco where you can try to read the Bible from the canvases of Tintoretto.
A walk around Rialto fish market, taking time to drink a glass of the best local wine and to taste some Venetian specialities – chicchetti – in one of the ancient taverns – baccari – in the district.
A visit to the famous squero or gondola workshop, where you can watch the process of gondola building with your own eyes.
A visit to Murano where you can create a vase or a flower by yourself, to Burano to see the colourful fishermen’s houses, to Torcello to see the oldest mosaics in the lagoon depicting the Last Judgment, or to the remote monastery of San Francis in the Desert for a quiet moment of prayer.
A visit to the beautiful Palazzo Rezzonico.
And if you’re in the mood for adventure, take the ghost tour!
