Passions: interested in material culture as part of Italian historical heritage, my favorite slogan is “the flavors of history”.
I have worked as a professional Venice guide since 1992, after a University degree in Contemporary Art and Literature at Venice University. In 2005 I was asked to arrange a Medieval-style dinner for the BBC program “Journeys from the Centre of the Earth” on an issue focused on Middle Age Venice and the Salt Route.
In 2015 I co-founded WalksInsideItaly travel agency with the help of a colleague.
In 2017 I worked for “The Wine Show” a BBC program, about the history of Venetian aperitifs. In the last decade, I became a certified Sommelier AIS, an official Taster of the Regional Chamber of Commerce and a licensed Cheese Taster Onaf, for which I work as cheese expert in Regional food competitions and Italian Cheese guidebooks.
