“When I went to Venice I found that my dream had become my address” (M. Proust)

Being Venetian for me is a choice: this city attracted me for the mixture of beauty, history and culture that create its unique lifestyle. The aim of my job is therefore to share this unique charm with visitors: looking at its palaces and works of art, or explaining its glorious history, or just making them feel part of the daily life of the city.

My background

I moved to Venice in 1999 to study Oriental Languages at Ca’ Foscari University. In 2004 I spent one year on a scholarship at Hiroshima University, Japan. I graduated from Ca’ Foscari in 2005, with a thesis about the history of Japanese architecture.

After that, I worked for several cultural institutions in Venice, such as the museum of Oriental Art and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, where I was in charge of the organization of special events.

In 2009 I received my licence of guide of the city of Venice. Since then, I have worked with clients and tour operators from Italy and especially from abroad, giving my preference to small groups and individual travelers.

My advice

Besides delving into the history of the Serenissima, let me guide you to discover present Venice. From world-renowned institutions like the Biennale, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection or Palazzo Grassi, to artisans who can bring ancient traditions in contemporary crafts; from small design galleries to boutiques selling unique pieces: this is the way to savour the real beauty of this city!
