We always take for granted that Venice is the ideal city for a honeymoon, but it is a serious mistake: living in Venice, or simply visiting it, means falling in love with her and it remains no room in your heart for anything else.» (Peggy Guggenheim)

I studied Turkish Language and Literature at Ca’ Foscary University in Venice. After my degree I lived and worked in Istanbul, Milan and Paris as a guide. In 1989 I started teaching English part time in High schools. I have been working at Palazzo Grassi and the Biennale since 1992, dealing with contemporary art and a lot of different art exhibition as a guide.

I am a freelance journalist, working for several newspapers and radios, doing interview on art, cinema, theatre, artists and exhibitions.

As a qualified guide I love working in my beautiful town, Venice!

My advice

Walk to the discovery of Venice as the gate of the East, discover sophisticated perfumes and refined fabrics, hidden and evocative corners, explore contemporary art during the Biennale and the various art exhibitions ever in the city. Each tour will be a thrilling discovery!
