Most shops are open from 9.30 am to 7.30 pm.
While some supermarkets stay open throughout the day, other food stores close at lunch time from 1.00 pm to 4.00/5.00 pm.
On Sundays you can shop in the city centre, but in other districts most of the stores are closed.
GONDOLAS
There are about 10 different places (called stazi) in Venice where you can hire a gondola. The hire charge is about € 80.00-€ 90.00 for a gondola seating up to 6 people, and the tour lasts about 35-40 minutes.
PUBLIC TOILETTES
Public toilets can be found in various places around the city, and there are facilities close to St. Mark’s Square and the Rialto.

Dispensing services on weekends and public holidays are covered on a rotating duty basis. Duty pharmacies usually keep to their weekday opening hours, although some may open am only.
